Straight talk on global warming.
Scientists everywhere agree the mean global temperature is increasing. Almost all of them trace this to increases in greenhouse gases. It is fact, not theory, that greenhouse gases are increasing. It is also fact that mean global temperatures are increasing. It is also fact that increases in greenhouse gases cause increases in mean global temperature.
Despite all this some people are trying to say that people have nothing to do with global warming, it's just the natural fluctuation in temperature. Don't listen to them. For whatever reason, they are trying to mislead you. The fossil fuel industry is the only one that stands to profit by people acting like global warming is not affected by continuing to burn fossil fuels.
So what can you and I do about global warming? We can reduce our use of fossil fuels and save money in the process. Carpooling is one way. Not just for commuting to work but also for shopping trips. Also, if you drive somewhere, do as many errands per trip as you can so you don't have to make so many trips. park in one place for multiple errands whenever possible. Walking is good for you and saves gas.
Buy locally grown produce when you can. You can even grow some of your own food. It's good exercise and a good way to relieve stress. An added benefit is it can save you money.
